Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi Weed Eater, time gas, weed eater

Question
I have a three year old Ryobi weed eater. I follow the starting directions and it will start. However after 10-20 seconds it dies as if it isn't getting fuel. I have emptied the tank and made sure it was clean. I have also checked the fuel lines and think they are alright. New gas and oil. Air filter seems to be okay as well...

Answer
 Hello Eric:

Clean and Overhaul the Carb. After a time gas and Oil forms a varnish that cloggs the ports and passages in the Carb. It will Also Weaken the Rubber Diaphram in the Carb. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
