Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): john deere lt133 battery?, john deere lt133, starter wire

ABOUT A MONTH AGO A PUT A NEW BATTERY ON MY MOWER AND IT RAN FINE.THEN TODAY I GET ON IT AND IT CRACKS.THEN CAME BACK TO CRACK IT AGAIN AND IT WOULD BARELY TURN OVER.LIKE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD.SO ANY WAYS WENT GOT NEW BATTERY AGAIN AND WHEN I PUT MY CABLES ON THEY START SPARKING WHEN I TOUCH THEM TO BATTERY.EVERYONE SAID I HAVE A SHORT.CHECK THE STARTER WIRE,IT WAS OK.SO I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO,CAN YOU HELP ME OUT PLEASE.  THANKS  LA HITT

 Hello Leigh Anne:

 The Starter wire isnt the Only Wire that may have a Short in it. Unplug the Ignition Switch. Also Check the Soleniod. When you hook up the Battery; the only things that the Power goes to are the Starter Soleniod and the Ignition Switch. Hope this Helps.
