Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mantis Tiller Worm Gear Replacement, worm gear, thrust washer

Question
I have a Mantis-20 tiller (old model 1986)
The worm gear teeth are sheared, and I would like to replace it.

The worm gear is on a shaft, apparently held on each side by a "Bearing Seal Retainer".  How do I remove this bearing seal retainer, in order to replace the worm gear.

From the worm gear out each direction on the shaft, there is a worm gear thrust washer, a worm gear bearing, bearing seal, and bearing seal retainer.  Should any of these parts also be replaced?  I believe all are available.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Answer
 Hello Paul:

All the parts you are wnating to replace reqiure a Press. Also replace all Parts Associated with the Worm Gear. When you press these off/out they tend to put stress on the old parts and if reused they dont usually last long.  Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
