Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sabre Tractor no gear, hello gary, winter storage

Question
I have a Dohn Deere Sabre model 1546 tractor with gear power train. After winter storage the transmission will not engage in either reverse or any forward gear. It's hard to see under the tractor, but it appears the belt is in place and all linkages, springs, etc seem to be working. When stepping on the clutch/brake I can see the linkage move and the tension on the pedal seems normal. FYI - also after storage the float stuck on the carburator and all gas drained into the crankcase. I fixed this and the engine runs good. I don't think this problem is related.

Answer
 Hello Gary:

If this mower was working fine when stored, then one of the pulleys under the mower isnt working properly. Check the Parking brake assembly first. Then check the Clutch Idler and Spring. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
