Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine has no power, honda engine, riding mower

Question
I have a riding mower with a twin cylinder honda engine (gxv530).  It was left with gas in the tank over the winter. New gas was added but old gas wasn't drained. It ran for a while then died.  I drained all the gas and replaced it with new gas, and cleaned the plugs. Got it started and it seemed to run good for a while, but then after a while when warm will not run without the choke on, and has no power to cut when the blade is engaged. I thought from reviewing this site it might be the carb? I don't know what to do to clean it out further, and can't find any info on the net. Mower is one season old. Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

Answer
 Hello John:

The Problem is the Carb. It needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. Gas over a Period of 2 to 3 Months will Start to turn into a Varnish Inside the Carb. When the Mower is Started after Sitting the Varnish will Peel and get taken into the Inside Ports of the Carb.  Good Luck
