I have a 5 HP Tecumseh H50 about a 1995 on a pressure washer I have no spark.  I replaced the coil still no spark.  Someone said there might be a oil level switch, but I can't locate it.  Also would like to know how the coil is fired on this engine.

 Hello Carl:

The coil fires when the magnet on the flywheel passes by the coil pickup ears. Havent ever seen an oil safety switch on the 1995 models; they started using them in 1997. Disconnect the shutoff switch and see if it fires. Does the coil you have have slots for mounting. If so it should be set at .020.  Hope this helps.

Answer
 Hello Carl:

Thanks for getting back to me. Does the coil you purchased have the built in Ign Module. Also you said wires? The Coil should have 2 wires, 1 ground and 1 that is for the Shutdown. If there is a wire coming out from under the Flywheel to the coil then you have Points and Condensor located under the Flywheel. They need replacing.
Hope this Helps.
