Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wiring Murray Selenoid, selenoid, test light

Can you tell me the proper wiring for a Murray selenoid - part #424285.
I'm replacing an old one and I get lights but nothing else.  No clicking...nothing.

ok- like this
BIG red wire from batt pos terminal goes to large pos term on solenoid.  Small red wire comes off this, goes to ignition switch, batt terminal.  Use a 12v test light to find the terminal that goes hot when you go to "start" position on ign switch- this wire goes to the small terminal on the solenoid.  Grounding for the sol is accomplished through its being bolted to the frame- make sure that is a good connection.  I gotta fly outta town on a business trip- good luck !
