Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): my cub cadet, selenoid, soleniod

Question
I have an old cub cadet series 102 , my ? is why is it when i try to engage my blades the belt continues to come off. Now i did go out and buy a new bearing and a new pto clutch now could that be the problem that it's not set right ?
Also i have a new battery but it's not keeping charged , could it be the generator or the selenoid ?

Answer
 Hello Oscar:

Check the Alignment of the Belt. With the Engine OFF, Set the Deck to the Normal Cutting Setting you use. Then Engage the Blades (Remember Engine Off). Check the Belt to see if it is Running True on the Pulleys. When Checking the Belt, Also Check the Blade Towers to see if they are Leaning when the Blades are Engaged. Unless the Charging System Feeds Through the Soleniod, the Generator will be the Problem. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck
