Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 1985 Wheel Horse, wheel horse, horse model

Dear sir,
My Wheel Horse (Model A211BP01-5 speed) -when the grass is high the blades don't spin, as if the belts are not tight enough and slipping.  The belts are several years old. Should I just get new belts or is there an adjustment or both? (I am willing to bring it into a repair place.)

There should be an idler adjustment to tighten the belt. The idler pulley is the part that moves to tighten the  elt when you engage the blades.  You should be alble to find it fairly easy.

If the belts are 3-4 years old I would replace them.
