Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): belt for old lawnmower, riding lawn mower, old ford

Question
Hi John
I have an old Ford Riding Lawn Mower that has a Montgomery Ward tag on it. I'm assuming MWard sold this mower.  So far, no one has been able to help me.

I need a belt for the mower deck.  It is shredded and I can't get a size or model number.  All I have is this info:
 Series 68682   Component # 096N3682  Ser# YC012584K30121

The mower is a YT16H 16 HP riding lawn mower.

I'd like to replace all the belts, but right now I mainly need the belt that goes on a deck w/42 inch cut.  Can you tell me what size or model of belt I need.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks,
Steve

Answer
 Hello Steve:

There are several of those Mowers Still around. There were 2 different Types of Decks for that Mower. Do you have the Deck that has 1 belt that runs from the Engine to the Deck and Turns the Blades or does the Deck have a belt for the Blades and 1 from the Engine to the Deck. The info gets me close but I still show 2 different Cutter Decks. If 1 Belt is required it Should be a 5/8 x 74" belt. Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
