Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Poulan Pro riding lawn mower, winter storage, engine heat

Question
I have a Poulan Pro PPR1274STA w/B&S engine. It started right up after winter storage.

However, the first time I turn it off and then restart it, it died. When attempting the restart and with the clutch depressed the ignition appears dead. I can restart the mower after a period of time and it will run until I turn it off.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Answer
 Hello Stan:

If I Understand your Problem Correctly. The Starter Soleniod Doesn't Click or Make any Noise. Check the Starter Soleniod. If the Soleniod is Good, then The Engine Heat is Causing the Starter to Short Out. When the Engine and Starter have Cooled Enought, the Starter will work again. If this is what is Happening, the Replace the Starter. If I have Misunderstood your Problem, Please let me know.  Hope this Helps.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
