Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): no spark, bad hope, spark plug

I have a craftsman Kohler engine 14H.P (1993) and I am not getting any spark from the spark plug.  I have replaced the plug and checked all safety switches; no problems there.  I am wondering about the ignition module; is there a way of checking it?

 Hello Doug:

 Disconnect the Coil Shutdown Wire and see if you have Spark. The Reason for this is to Check the Ign Switch and the Ignition Module. If you have Checked all the other Switches, then Your Problem is in the Ignition Module. An Ignition Module will either be Good or Bad. Hope this helps.
