Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Eager 1 Lawn Mower, eager 1, overhaul kit

Help! I prime my lawn mower. It starts and runs for about 5 seconds and then dies.  I put in a new spark plug and cleaned the air filter.  Is there a fuel pump on this thing?  If there is, could it be the problem?  Some suggested bad gas.  I just don't know.

 Hello Angelo

 The Only way to Solve this Problem is to Clean the Carb. This will Require Removing The Carb and Disassembling it and Replacing the Parts that are supplied with the Carb Overhaul Kit. Storage of any Gas Powered Equipment includes Running the Engine until the Carb is Empty.  The Gas will Set Up into a Varnish like State when Left Unused for a Long Period of Time.
