Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wiring, engine model type, starter solenoid

Question
Well i want to wire up the front lights back lights temp guage the key  and thats realy it, but all the stuff im useing worked for me before.
I wired it up and it didnt work ? I havent used what you sent me yet but it looks like it should work for the main wireing part, but i would like to see if there was a way i could get a layout like the one you gave me that could show me all the wireing if possible?

Most mower wiring diagrams I've saw are pretty basic.  Murray printed a mechanics pamplet I saw but it was so basic I just tossed it in the trash.  Chelton, Haynes and other repair manuals provide better diagrams.

Are you near a large library?  Sometimes they have these repair books you can check out.

What temperature gauge are you using?  The only ones I know of for air cooled engines sit under the spark plug.

For the lights, are you going to use a battery to power them?  AC or DC lights?  

What is you engine model, type and code number of the engine?

Do you have a starter solenoid and key switch?

The wiring is pretty simple...I just need lots of info to provide better assistance.
