Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper snow thrower model# 8260, snapper snow thrower, plug hole

Question
i have a 8 hp snow blower that wont start!
i tryed everything i know it is getting fresh gas into the carb, but it does'nt seem to get sucked up to the engine? if i poor gas into the spark plug hole it will start for a second.is ther some kinda piece in the engine not working? i apreciate your time thank you sean

Answer
Hi Sean,

If you hold you hand over the carb's intake you should feel suction.  If not, there may be a faulty intake valve.
If you have good suction, try to start and keep the engine running by squirting fuel or staring fluid into the carb.

Let me know what you find.
