Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): seized engine, briggs stratton, hp engine

I have a Craftsman mower with a Briggs & Stratton 6 hp engine.  I did not check the oil for some time I guess and the engine seized.  OOPS!  Is there any way to try to free it up or is it a lost cause?

Most likely it is a lost cause.  You can try removing the spark plug and have someone hold the engine shut-off lever while you try and rotate the blade by hand.

If the engine will rotate you might want to add some of that "mircle" oil additive to help lube the parts.
