Question
have a 1967 Honda ct90 k1 model bike ran when purchased a couple weeks after purchase she just lost power did complete inspection did complete top end rebuild know she wont start as far as i can tell timing is off how do you check and adjust timing

Answer
Brian,

You didn't say if it was ignition or camshaft timing
you needed so here are both:

Camshaft timing:

-There is an O mark on the cam gear in the cylinder head.

-It must be facing towards the mark near the top
of the cylinder head when the "T" mark on the
flywheel is aligned with the notch on the casing.
You should be able to draw a straight line
between the key in the crankshaft and that
O mark on the cam gear when set correctly.

Ignition timing:

set the point gap at .014"
The points should just break open
when the flywheel "F" mark aligns
with the mark on the engine case.
Use a timing light if you have one.
-make sure the points are clean.

-if you have spark, maybe it is lacking
fuel? Check the fuel flow and carb.
