Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper, float bowl, fuel level

Question
I have a Snapper 1855A/34244511

Runs good on level ground. Stop when going uphill.
What could be the problem?
Tom

Answer
Hi Tom,

I suspect a float that is set too low.  It should be parallel with the rim of the float bowl.  If it is set like that now, then reset it to sit a bit lower, (towards the float needle.) so the float lets in more fuel and keeps the fuel level higher.
There also might be some dirt slightly blocking a carb passage.

Let me know how you make out.
