Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray riding mower warms up and blows fuse, murray riding mower, amp fuse

I have a 17.5 h/p B&S riding mower ( Murray model # 46581x92A ) that runs fine until it warms up,then it blows the 15 amp fuse. It has done this two times now. I'm not sure what to look for. I have not found any damaged wiring.Please advise! Thanks Gayle

Hi Gayle,

It would help if you could find out what the fuse is for.  Is there only one fuse?  If so, there could either be a bad ignition coil that is shorting out when hot, or a wire that is chaffed and shorts out randomly.  You will need to do some checking with a test light or meter.
