Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper lawn mower, snapper lawn mower, air filter

Question
I have a Snapper "Big 6" lawn mower, which I bought from my parents. It is 6-8 years old. I have to prime the starter between 6 and 10 times. The suggestion is 3. It starts but quickly stalls back out. I pulled the air filter out and it still will not stay running. Sometimes, if I press the primer button after it starts, it will stay running until I quit priming it. That used to work but now it just wastes gas! I am no mechanic, so disassembling the carb is not the most-anticipated solution. What can I do?

Answer
Hi Jeff,

Sorry to say but I don't have another solution for you.
You will need to clean all the small internal carb openings and blow it out with compressed air.  Probe each and every hole with a small wire.  Adding a carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either.

Good Luck.
