Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): caburator on briggs and stratton riding mower, briggs and stratton, hi aaron

Question
Hello, I went to sharpen the blades on the mover and decided tilting it up would be the fastest way, however after i was done, gas was  leaking out of the carb, i removed the bowl on the bottom (assuming the float was stuck) i cleaned it and put it back togethter it ran for a bit then started spraying gas out. i cleaned it agian, it ran for awhile but it  stalled and then  gas came out agian, i can see a little tube right behind the choke plate that leads into the bowl with the float and that is where the gas is comming from, what do you think i need to do

Answer
Hi Aaron,

The bowl-to-carb seal or a cracked fuel line may be the problem. You will need to clean things off and look for the exact spot of the leak.  Make sure that the needle valve didn't fall out when the bowl was removed.

Let me know how you make out.
