Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas blower, compression gauge, spark arrestor

Question
I have an echo gas blower. The problem I've been having is that after the engine has started and maybe having run on full throttle for a few minutes it starts to fade and eventually cuts out.It also seems to be hotter than normal.I have changed the air filter ,spark plug, fuel filter, and gas.Any idea?Is there a fan some where that may not be cooling off the engine and thats why it quits? Thanks so much in advance.

Answer
The main engine cooling is provided by the flywheel fins.  These rarely stop working unless they are completely blocked off.

Did the problem start all of a sudden or has the blower sat for a while?

Do you have a compression gauge?
How old is the blower?
Have you cleaned the spark arrestor in the muffler, cleaned the muffler and exhaust port?

Let me know.
