Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Removal of MTD mower wheel, air hammer, riding mower

Question
I've been trying to remove the rear wheel of my riding mower to replace the tire.  Removed the outer bolt and washer. Applied tons of WD40. Even tried applying a 2x4 on inside of wheel and pounding with hammer.  Can't budge that wheel. Help!

Answer
Those wheels can rust on and be pretty difficult to remove.

Have you tried heating the inside of the rim?  Do you have 2 holes in the rim in which to use a gear puller?

Have you tried an air hammer?

Can you put some Tire Slime in the tire or are the sidewalls too cracked?

Let me know.
