Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cannot start lawn mower, safety lever, self propelled lawn mower

Hi,
I got used Toro self propelled lawn mower. Previous owner showed me how to ignite it and it worked. I tried couple of days later, it did not worked. The previous owner came and tried but it did not worked. What would be the problem here? Which parts should I check? I might pulled igniting lever without holding something that is supposed to be held when I pull igniting lever.

Hi Yohan,

There is usually a safety lever that must be held down for the engine to have ignition.  Check for spark at the spark plug and if none, follow the safety cable down to its' switch at the engine.  Check to see if the switch is making contact.
