Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Replacing B&S mototr with a Kohler product, craftsman riding mower, kohler product

Mark I have a blown B&S 21HP motor in a 4 year old Craftsman Riding Mower. The motor is beyond repair(model#461707 type 0147)Can I replace this Motor with a Kohler unit (CVS20S PA65551)without much hassel? Do the mounting holes line up,is the wiring similar,and is the pulley the same size? Also if this is not feasible can you point me in the right direction. I will not replace with any B&S product as they have treated me poorly. Please advise and thank you

It can be done but there may be some adaptation required.  I recommend you contact Kohler directly or a good dealer and ask if they can assist you in replacing your B&S.  They may be able to provide you with a close to direct replacement.  Hope this helps.
