Steering Column Repair: 93 cherokee steering calumn, cylinder rod, master cylinder

Question
I replaced my steering calumn on my Cherokee and now my brakes don't work. It's an automatic and I have to press down really hard just to keep it from moving when I put it in gear.
I have done this before with out a problem.
Have I mist something in the wiring.

Answer
Hi Dan:

There is nothing that I am aware of in the column that would cause this.  The only thing I can think of is you may have bent or knocked the pedal or master cylinder rod out of place when jockeying the column into position.

Good luck

Doug
