Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Hard Starting, fly wheel, machine screw

Question
I have a McCulloch chain saw 14in. On Starting, it tells me to press gas bubble 3 times and about imediately the gas is running out at the exhaust.
I had it in for repair awhile back and after AWHILE it wouldn't run again. Something was amiss, so I took the motor apart, and found a loose machine screw under neith the fly wheel, and THAT WAS DIGGING INTO THE FLY WHEEL. After correcting that and putting the parts back together, the motor would not start at all, and the gas would keep running out, like I said at the first of this note.
Can you help me with problem?  I'd appreciate it.     Thank You.   I am Jerry.

Answer
Hi Jerry,

It seems like you are getting plenty of fuel, so I would check for spark at the plug.  If you have good spark, maybe the primer is flowing too much fuel causing flooding.  Dry or replace the spark plug and try again but with less or no priming.

Let me know how you make out.
