Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): gas in oil, ransome bobcat, kholer

Question
I have s ransome bobcat riding mower with a kholer 20 hp motor. It starts up fine but when it warms up it starts stalling and I noticed it had gas in the oil can you give me an idea if it is something serious or just need to rebuild the carburator. thank you ronny

Answer
Hi Ronny,

Gas in the oil sometimes is caused by a float related problem.  It might be dirt, the floats' needle and seat valve or a fuel logged float.  I would remove, disassemble the carb and take a look.  At that point, yes, you might as well add a carb rebuild kit which should help the poor running problem.

Let me know how you make out.
