Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Gas oil mix, stroke oil, husky chainsaw

I have a Husky chainsaw that calls for a 50:1 mix. I bought some 2 stroke oil with a preservative that is poulan weed eater oil. It says it makes a 40:1 mix. Should i take it back, or is it ok to use, or add some more gas to the mix? What would you recomend? Thanks

I'm prefer to use Husky, Echo or Stilh mix.  We used to be a Poulan dealer but their products are less than reliable.

You could add some extra fuel and guess the mix but I'd recommend taking it back.  You can use the 40:1 mix in the Husky...it make smoke a little more but it will not do any real damage.  If you decide to use the Poulan mix then I would keep the ratio to 40:1.
