Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): carb trouble, fuel line blockages, honda 4 stroke

Question
I have a Honda 4 stroke g100k1 engine and the carb leaks gas out of the air filter. Now i have tested the float, and there is no holes in it and inspected the needle and seat and they work suffieciently. I have cleaned the carb spotless but it stills leaks gas. Now my question is why is the carb leaking gas if the needle and float are workin? I cant figuere it out. Also if you know the air/gas mix turns i would be happy for that as well. I tested the float by unscrewing the bowl, then dipping the float into a bowl of gas and then i blew into the the gas intake. I couldnt blow through it so it works. WHats the problem?

Answer
Hey John,
Look for fuel line blockages. Also take another look at the float. Sometimes they experiance trouble because the float will stick and over flow the carb. Check for an eroded carb gasket. This is a common problem with these types of carbs. Look at the gasket between the float bowl and the carb. Hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
