Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): repair Lawn Mower, spark plug wire, presence control

Question
My lawnmower 3 years old won't start. At first it started right up when cold but when hot wouldn't start. Now it won't start at all. It is a Craftsman 6.75 power propelled mulching mower Model No.143.016708 it is a Tecumseh engine. I changed spark plug, air filter, gas is fresh. I also changed the On/Off switch which was located under the flywheel and checked the "operator presence control bar" and cable for proper operation. I checked and noticed NO SPARK. Could it be the coil? Is that the Solid state ignition unit? Thanks for your help. Jack

Answer
Hey Jack,
The spark plug wire that you have may me corroded. You may replace this with automotive spark plug wire or order a new one from the manufacturer. First check the flywheel magnet and the engine magnet. They shouldnt be more that a business card away from eachother.
