Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): No Spark, spark plug wire, lawnmower engine

Question
Hi,I recently asked Eric a question regarding my
lawnmower engine, why it's not getting spark to the spark plug. It's a Tecumseh motor(don't know what year it is)model#:TVS105 53122G and the serial#:0117N.I followed his suggestion on disconnecting ground wire from coil, this made no difference, still no spark. There are 2 wires connected to the coil, one originates from under the flywheel, and connects to terminal on coil. Wire #2(two)(which I believe to be the ground)originates from the same terminal on the coil,& goes to the throttle plate attached to the carb.I'm no dummy when it comes to working on small engines, but this one has me stumped.Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

Answer
Hey Bill,
You should try replacing the spark plug wire. If you would like to play it safe and prevent future problems why not try and replace the ignition part of the engine(where the rotor magnet and the engine magnet pass eachother)? Could be causing you a bad spark or as in your case no spark at all. This may not sound cheap but it wont cost you more than $30(CDN)or $40(AMERIACAN). It will restore everything back to normal and look at the bright side it will pervent future problems.
