Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Heavy vibrating on a Suzuki 2 cycle, new spark, engine mounts

Question
I purchased early in the spring a brand new Toro self-propelled(model  22043) with a Suzuki 2 cycle engine. The engine was manufactor in April 2002.
The engine vibrates heavyly with or without the blade turning. I cleaned the air filter, a new spark-plug, clean the carburator bowl and  tighten the engine mounts but nothing seems to help. This model has a blade clutch so it's not it,  but I change the blade to eliminate it. Can you give me some advice. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Carlos,

This is a tough one.  I would look for something that could have caused an out-of-balance condition.  Since you have eliminated the blade, the problem must be at the top end.  Maybe the flywheel or recoil assembly.  Carbon build-up on the piston?

Let me know what you find,
Michael
