Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): No Spark, snapper mower, sparkplug

Hi,I have an older snapper mower with a 4hp Tecumseh moter model#:TVS105 53122G.My Problem is,I'm not getting any spark to the sparkplug.I don't know if this model has points or not,and unsure on how to properly remove the flywheel to to check.Any tips would be helpful.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond...the allexperts site has been having trouble.

What is the engine serial number?  

You can check the coil, electronic coil, by removing the engine sheet metal and dis-connecting the small ground wire connected to the coil.  The ground wire should just pull off...it is a spade connector.

With the ground wire dis-connected, place the sheet metal housing back on and with the spark plug removed from the cylinder check for spark.
