Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): ECHO trimmer SRM-1500, echo trimmer, starter fluid

This summer starting having trouble starting the trimmer.  Got it started a couple of times using starter fluid.  Now it does nt start at all.  Believe there may be a fuel problem.  What should I do first to find or correct problem?
Never had any difficulty with the trimmer before.

Most likely the carburetor needs to be rebuilt.  Rebuild kits come with a varity of gaskets and diaphragms to  fit several carburetor series.

Basically you just disassemble the carb, clean with compressed air and carb cleaner then install the new gaskets/diaphragms, inlet needle and it's ready to go.
