Hi, I have a Craftsman 4.5HP 22Inch Lawnmower, About 3 weeks ago, the engine would run until I would start to push the lawn mower then it would die, so I changed the air filter and spark plug and unscrewed the carb and just blew alittle air into it, this worked and the lawn mower ran fine for two more cuts.  Now it won't start at all, engine won't turn over or anything, any help you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.

Are you telling me the engine won't start or it won't physically turn over?

When I pull the cord nothing happens it never kicks on, the engine never sounds like it wants to turn over.

Answer
You will first have to pull the spark plug after trying to start it and see if it is wet (with fuel) or dry.  If it's dry, try squirting a little bit of fuel into the carb and starting it.  If it starts and quits, the issue is a blockage inside the carb and it will need to be cleaned thoroughly, including pushing a piece of tag wire through all of the internal passages.  If the spark plug is wet, you need to check for spark.  If it has spark, the issue may be compression related (leaking valves, etc.).  If it is has no spark, the problem is ignition related.  Let me know what you find.  Hope this helps.
