Questionbad gas,cleaned everything but carborator now will run for 15min blows out big puff white smoke and smells like raw gas. left spark plug saturated with gas, right plug looks like black soot. checked coil,fine, put in new plugs, fuel lines, fuel filter, cleaned tank and fuel pump
seems to have loss of power but runs then does what i stated above. any information you may have would be very valuable. thank you
AnswerI can't exactly tell what you are trying to describe but I will try to offer a few suggestions. If a spark plug is saturated with fuel, there is either an ignition problem or a carb problem. Because only one of two plugs is saturated and you say it's down on power, I suspect the problem is ignition. You can put a timing light on each spark plug lead while it's running and, first, make sure you have spark and second, observe if either cylinder is missing (irregular pulses on the light...you will easily see this).
