Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawnmower, internal passages, fuel cap

this is the 5th time this season im using the mower today it ran for about 15 minutes then died and i could not get it restarted  i have new gas in it    its a sears 3years old 5.5 engine. it will star then slowly die like it was running out of gas

Answer
First try loosening the fuel cap slightly to vent the tank.  If this corrects the problem, the tank vent (in the cap) is plugged.  If this doesn't help, the carb will need to be cleaned thoroughly, including pushing a piece of tag wire through all of the internal passages. Hope this helps.
