Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): weedeater lawn tracter-1997, die grinder, rear tires

Question
i am trying to replace the rear tires on my weedeater lawnmower,i have taken off the c-clip and washers on both sides but the rims seem to be frozen on the axle,i have called weedeater service dept. and they said the rims should slide right off.i have been spraying the key way and axles with wd40 for the past week to no avail.I am thinking of buying a puller, but im not sure if that would solve the problem.any suggestions. thanks

Answer
Try a penatrating oil, like P.B. Blaster or Kryoil.  These actually have an acid base that eat rust.  WD-40 is not acid based.

A puller might work.  Are the wheel metal or plastic?  If they are plastic, a hacksaw will cut right through the wheel.  For metal, I would use a die grinder or dremal.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
