Auto Insurance Claims: Driveway Incedent with 2005 Subaru WRX STi, 2005 subaru wrx, incedent

Question
I just had a "incident" involving my Subaru and and a family members 1985 Toyota that was jacked up in driveway for repairs.
I have been working on the STi and was finishing up when I decided to move car over a couple feet. I stepped in some oil before getting into car and foot slipped off clutch; resulting in collision with toyota. I called my Ins. The Hartford immediately and told them what happened. The front end of Subaru is heavily damaged, plus hood and misc under hood engine accessories. I have collision coverage on policy.
Will they cover this event/damage?

Thanks for your time, Scott Haight. Boulder,Colorado

Answer
Hi Scott,

There should be no problem with coverage at all. You were driving your insured vehicle and a collision occured. That is exactly what your insurance pays for. They should pay for the cost of the repairs less your deductible. As far as your relatives toyota, if there ius much damage to it the insurance company will likely declare it a total loss due to its age.

I hope this helps
