Hi, hope you can help me, I have a leaf /lawn
blower, the manufacture was ROOF. I want to
remove the gas motor from the housing. On one side
of the housing is the motor, the shaft goes through it, then there is a metal X flange
that 2 blades attach to.  My question is how
do I remove the the motor shaft from the X flange
on the other side.

Thanks

Ken

Hi Ken,

Can you see the shaft where it goes through the hub of the flange?  Does it thread?  Can you hold the shaft while the flange is unscrewed?

Let me know what you find.
Michael

Answer
Hi Ken,

Usually blowers have a keyed shaft, a keyway in the impeller bore and a nut on the end.  If not, I don't know how it can be secured to the shaft.  I did a search and didn't find much.  Sorry, I'm stumped!
If the following link is your manufacturer, you could check with them.
