Question -
I have a Husky Chainsaw that leaks a pretty good puddle of bar oil out every time it sits up. It has done this since new.  They tryed to make me think this is normal at the dealer.  It makes a mess each time and it is on my  nerves I am thinking about a new one, but I do like the way this one runs.  Any ideas?    Thank You Sincerely Jeffrey D Price

Hi Jeff,

I will check with a dealer friend about any cronic leak problems he might know of.  In the mean time, where is it leaking from?  The case halves or the oiler outlet where the oil enters the bar?

Michael

Answer
Hi Jeff,

I just spoke with the dealer and unfortunately he said that there are some saws that do leak with no remedy.  Either replace the saw or (As I did with a Stihl leaker that I owned) just store it on an old shallow oven pan and wipe the under side when you use it.  Maybe storing it on its side will help.

Best,
Michael
