My lawnmower will not start. The blade turns and I have changed the sparkplug and it has gas and oil, but when I pull the handle, it doesnt appear to have any spark. It is getting gas. I was mowing and it stopped all the sudden and will not start back up. Any ideas?
Answer -
DOUG,  REMOVE THE PLUG, ATTACH IT TO THE WIRE AND HAVE SOMEONE WITH INSULATED PLIERS HOLD THE METAL PART OF THE PLUG NEXT TO THE ENGINE HEAD NOW HAVE SOMEONE PULL THE STARTER ROPE AND WATCH FOR A YELLOW OR A BLUE SPARK AT THE PLUG.  IF NO SPARK THEN THERE IS YOUR PROBLEM.  IT'S EITHER IN THE IGNITION OR THE PLUG.
GOOD LUCK,
GEORGE

Answer
DOUG, OKAY BLUE SPARK...THAT'S A GOOD SIGN.  NOW, I AM NOT SO SURE IT IS GETTING FUEL.  GET SOME STARTING FLUID FROM THE AUTO PARTS STORE.  SPRAY SOME IN THE THROAT OF THE CARB AND TRY TO START.  IT SHOULD GO.  IT SHOULD AT LEAST SPUTTER.  IF IT DOESN'T YOU ARE NOT GETTING FUEL.

GEORGE...WE WILL GET THIS THING RUNNING...WHAT KIND OF ENGINE IS IT?
