Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower wont start, briggs stratton engine, briggs stratton

Question
I have a Craftsman 19 hp Briggs & Stratton engine, it was running about two weeks ago for about 3 to 4 hours I shut it off to pick up some stuff about and hour went by, I went to move it  and it will not start. It has a new battery and plugs full tank of gas, I clean all the connect  to the battery and all the wire from the battery to the other end of the wires and It has oil in it . When I turn the key the only sound that I hear is a clicking, I think it is from the solenoid.
Any suggestions would be a helpful.

Thanks

Answer
If the solenoid is clicking and you can turn the engine over by hand (not hydraulically locked because of the carb allowing fuel to fill the cylinders), there is a problem with either the starter or the connections.  If the connections are clean, try removing the plugs and cranking the engine over.  If it will crank over with the plugs out, the problem is either the battery or the starter.  Fully charge the battery, re-install the plugs and try again.  You need to use a process of elimination to pinpoint the problem.  Hope this helps.
