Volvo Repair: 1998 S70 check engine light, volvo s70 glt, 1998 volvo s70 glt

Question
The check engine light came on due to the fuel cap not being placed on correctly. Is there a way to reset this without going to a repair facility? Thanks  1998 volvo s70 GLT

Autozone and several other auto parts stores have a scan tool in there posession that they do free code reading and clearing with.  If you go there they could turn it off for you for no charge.  Just make sure the gas cap is on good and tight before you do or you may be coming back in a few days.  Hope that helps.
