Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower, briggs and stratton, sling blade

Question
My Lowes riding mower (Briggs and Stratton motor) will not fire. I put a new battery in it and it still will not turn over.

Answer
Have you checked the points on it?  I am just quoting Sling Blade.  That isn't really even funny is it?  I am sure you have heard that from all the other "so called" experts on this site too.  Why can't we let go of that joke?  That is not really your problem.  I would guess the spark plugs.  Have you tried ether in the carboratour?  Works wonders.  You may want to start working out a little bit so you can turn that lawn mower over.  I am sure with that heavy battery on there it would take quite a bit of might to turn the thing over.  You might try getting a pry bar.  Leverage is the shizzle!
