Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cub cadet, hydro control, leaky valve

Do you know about cub cadets?
My mid 70's Cub runs like a champ, except it tends to creep forward(Hydro).
Is there a simple adjustment for this, or, do I need to get a professional?

Hi Doug,

There is an adjustment for the hydro control.  Look at the linkage starting at the control. (If I remember, a lever is used on the Cubs.) Follow it to the hydro unit until you see an adjustable threaded rod.  I'm not sure if it is at the lever or hydro end. If after adjusting, it still creeps, then there may be a problem with the hydro unit internally, maybe a leaky valve.
