I am a middle school student. I am doing a report on how lawn mower engines work. I was wondering if you could email me some info on how lawn mower engines work.

The above sites will help you understand engines. A lawn mower engine is very similar to automobile engine...except smaller.  The main difference with mower engines is the ignition system.  Most mower engines use mangets in the flywheel to induce current flow through the ignition module to create spark.  Cars typically use a 12 volt DC source to produce spark.

Check out the sites and I would check your local public or university library.  I have found several books on engines at the library.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
