Snowmobile Repair: snowmobile, snowmobile engine, cat engine

i have a 73 292cc kawasaki arctic cat engine in a harley golf cart. i would like to find a electric starter for it. it has a ring gear and mounting pad already.will a starter off a 440cc kawasaki same vintage fit? is it ok to run a snowmobile engine in summer.any help is greatly appreciated

Sorry I can not help you with the electric start issue.  But yes you can run a snowmobile engine in the summer.  Just make sure it is open all the way around it and gets plenty of air flow.  Always make sure the cooling fins are clean. Also for your application you may want to figure out a way to mount an elecrtic fan to blow cool air on it. I hope this helps you.
