I was wondering if you knew the answer to this question.  Do you know how much horse-power a 600 xc dulex has and what it might top out at? Which do you think would win in a long race a 600 formula triple or my sled a 600 xc dulex?
Answer -
Hello Tim,

The XC should put out around 100 hp or so, un modded. It's really not a bad sled, and will take most other sleds in it's range even. With mods, like pipes and carbs, it can really be a spunky sled. If you want to really beat the guy, Polaris's XC700 is really hard to beat. That said, the FIII stands a good chance on beating you. But, if your riding abilities are better than his, of course, take advantage of that, and he might be wiping the snow off of his goggles. Hope this helps, good luck! let me know if I can answer any other questions. --Arcticatman

I was wondering what kind of exsaust pipes that I could put on to make my snowmobile alot faster in top end and in horse power without it weighing alot?

Answer
Hello Tim,

I've been going over various pipes available for your sled. Keep in mind, that most pipes require re-jetting your carb, or some clutch modifications, but the instructions always come with the pipes. They very alot in price, and results. The most popular ones out there are, SLP, AAEN, PSI, and Dynoport. I favor SLP, personally, due to quality and price. They indicate that their pipes will boost your sled with an extra 23 HP, and make it weigh 5-10 lbs less, depending on your sleds year. They also run $450 and up. AAEN has been around for over 25 years, and been a famous name in the racing circuits for years. They claim to boost your HP to 20 extra, and make your sled weigh 10 lbs less. Unfortunately, they run over $650. PSI is another. They make decent pipes, but you would need to find out if they make pipes for your sleds year. Last of all, Dynoport. They claim to add another 8 HP or so, and don't appear worth the money. My recommendation is to go with SLP pipes, they are easy to get and are reasonably priced. You can get them cheaply from www.denniskirk.com . Here is the SLP site, http://www.startinglineproducts.com/catalog.cfm?pageID=product&catalogID=3&catID   .   MCB is another site that sells pipes,  http://www.mcbperformance.com/exhaust.html  .  Hope this helps you, let me know if I can answer any other questions you might have. Good luck with the Polaris! --Arcticatman
